Paws N Play, LLC offers a variety of Obedience group classes and workshops.
In order to have a great dog who is part of the family, your dog must know GOOD MANNERS! That is why we offer obedience classes that are focused on helping you not only teach your dog obedience commands, but also to establish a bond of trust and respect between you and your dog which is the foundation of any good relationship.
Classes:
Puppy Obedience: Puppy Obedience class is for dogs who are 12weeks to 6 months old who have not had any previous dog training. This class is focused on socializing your new puppy as well as fundamental obedience commands such as attention, sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, come, and a few others. Class includes 15 minutes of off leash puppy play so that your dog learns how to properly play with other puppies.
Good Manner Obedience: Good Manner Obedience class is for dogs who are 6 months or older and has completed a Puppy class. This class is focused on fine-tuning basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, & come by adding distractions and duration. In addition, we will learn Leave It, Wait and some agility obstacles.
Workshops:
A variety of 1 time workshops are offered on a variety to problem behaviors. Each workshop is 1.5 – 2 hours long. The workshops focus ONLY on the specific topic specified in the Workshop name. An example of workshops offered are:
- Jumping on People
- Leave It
- Wait
- Basic Loose Leash Walking (LLW)
- LLW with Leave It (for dogs who react poorly to other dogs or people while walking)
- LLW with Backaway (for dogs who react poorly to other dogs or people while walking
- Come
- Dog Relaxation 101 (How to make your dog a calm dog!)
- Resource Guarding 101 (For dogs who don’t give up toys or is reactive around food)
